Each interaction with workshop participants, faculty and fellow staff members, creates the Omega experience.  Job Description Guest Services Staff: non-exempt, full-time; on average 35 hours per week. Reports to Guest Services Supervisor. Summary  Guest Services provides support and information to participants, staff, and faculty and serves as primary support for participants once they arrive at Omega. The Guest Services team responds to any request, concern, or question a participant, staff or faculty may have. Staff must be able to work day and night shifts.  Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. •    Listen and respond to participants, staff, and faculty with compassion and accurate information •    Provides golf cart rides to participants with disabilities •    Utilize two-way radio for golf cart ride needs  •    Utilize two-way radio to communicate with other departments  •    Report and maintain records of Maintenance and Housekeeping problems  •    Problem solves difficult guest situations with Manager on Duty (MOD) •    Distribute umbrellas, toiletries, blankets, towels, pillows, flashlights and sheets, etc. •    Maintain lost and found items in an organized manner •    Perform basic office work - email, copying, scanning, answering telephone calls and taking messages •    Use a cash register •    Distribute information regarding local attractions, transportation, hiking trails, weather, and directions  •    Orient participants to campus when registration is closed. •    Perform opening and closing procedures •    Mandatory attendance at weekly Guest Services meeting •    Other duties as required by supervisor Work Details * This position functions on the Omega campus. * This is a full-time position, 35 hours a week. Morning and evening, and weekend, availability required. Physical Requirements * Ability to constantly work in outdoor weather conditions. * Ability to frequently move items that weigh 20 pounds for various needs. * Ability to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. * Ability to traverse a hilly campus in diverse weather conditions. * Ability to position self to perform diverse job tasks as necessary. * Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.  Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. * Ability to observe details at close range Required Experience/Qualities  * Ability to work independently, manage tasks, and take initiative without the need for constant or active supervision. * Service oriented and compassionate individual. * Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively.  * Timeliness and reliability. * Excellent interpersonal skills. * Team Player. * Valid Driver’s License.  * Alignment with Omega’s Mission, Goals and Core Values.
