Position Summary Guggenheim Investments is seeking an organized and detail-oriented candidates to join its Investment Management Operations team for its 10-week Summer Internship program starting on June 1nd, 2026. The Operations Intern will assist with projects across the Operations department including Trade Operations, Data Services, Reporting, Loan Operations, Accounting and Portfolio management. This role will be located in the Chicago office. Responsibilities Assist team members with the performance of their operations duties Gain an overall understanding of the operational workflow that is used to support the firm’s investment process by working directly with the teams and team leaders Assist on projects with one or multiple teams from Trade Operations, Data Integrity, Reporting, Loan Operations, Accounting and Portfolio Management Assist to ensure that all positions are accurate and reconciled with custodians and other external parties as well as across multiple internal systems, for the projects with Trade Operations team Daily assessment of the Data Integrity Group’s suite of reports, for the projects with Data Services team Learn about nuances of Bank Loan asset class and assist in setup, trade settlement and reconciliation of those assets, for the projects with Loan Operations team Perform daily reconciliations to ensure that the portfolio management and investment accounting systems accurately reflect investment positions and cash levels, for the projects with Accounting and Portfolio Management team Assist with the compilation and organization of documentation and data to assist with the reconciliation of complex asset classes May assist in preparing periodic performance reports for senior leaders and clients Qualifications Basic Qualifications Currently enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate program, and have completed at least two years Perusing a degree in the Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business relevant filed Desire to learn about Finance, Investment Management and Operations Preferred Qualifications Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to take initiative Exceptional communication skills Team oriented with the ability to work well with diverse groups Willing to roll up their sleeves to perform all responsibilities needed to ensure the success of the delivery of projects or assigned tasks Proficiency in all Microsoft products with a particular emphasis on Excel We are unable to consider candidates who require current or future visa sponsorship for employment in the United States.
