Position Summary Guggenheim is seeking a motivated individual for a 10-week internship within the Operations department. This internship provides hands-on experience to cultivate relationships across teams including Client Account Maintenance, Data Integrity, Reconciliation, Settlements, Agency and Private Fund / CLO Portfolio Administration and to learn the different facets of Loan Services. Some responsibilities include the individual assisting with processing and analyzing loan data across key systems, developing/streamlining reporting of key operational metrics, and working with internal teams and external parties to identify and address open reconciliation items. The role will provide exposure to multiple facets of the loan ecosystem including settlement, payment, and reporting methods, parties involved, and types of clients and fund structures frequently encountered. This role will involve working in a dynamic team environment and it presents opportunities to apply business skills in support of Loan Services objectives and initiatives. The position is located in the New York office. Responsibilities Support Loan Services team with implementing key initiatives and completing ad hoc projects as needed Assist with all or some operational aspects of the life cycle of a loan including asset set up, trade settlement, reconciliation, and reporting Assist Private Funds/CLO Administration team with transaction modeling Qualifications Basic Qualifications Currently enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate program, and have completed at least two years Desire to learn about Finance, Investment Management and Loan Operations Proficient in all Microsoft products with a particular emphasis on Excel Prior internship(s) in the finance industry a plus Preferred Qualifications Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Exceptional communication skills Team oriented with the ability to work well with diverse groups Self-motivated and willing to perform all responsibilities needed to ensure the success of the assigned tasks We are unable to consider candidates who require current or future visa sponsorship for employment in the United States.
