Work Experience: Entry-Level (Foundational) Work Experience Description: Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses. ᅟ Department Guides (Multi-Purpose/Ambassador) Position Scope Provides guided walking tour in the guest’s native language. Assists guests throughout the tour, answering questions whenever possible. Receives guest arrival information and provides initial greeting and orientation. Requirements Must be able to speak, read and write in English and Japanese. Must have a basic knowledge about the various cultural areas encountered during the tour. Requires good health and a voice that can endure up to four hours of speaking in any given time frame. Must be fluent in a designated foreign language. Must be capable of a full range of body movement and be capable of moving freely among the guests. Should be a high school graduate or the equivalent. No prior work experience required. Must attach Resume and current class schedule (WEEKLY VIEW). Work Schedule 4 days TBD, 11:30AM - 5:00PM, 19 hrs. Pay Rate $14.00/Hour Must be able to work weekends and fulfill a three-day weekly shift. All applicants must be available for an on-site interview at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, HI.
