At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.
With growing activities in Canada to meet the increasing demand for sustainable transportation, Alstom is looking for motivated candidates who will help us leverage our expertise and apply it locally.
We’re looking for a full-time Guideway Technician @ Ottawa operations site, could it be you?

Responsibilities

YOUR FUTURE ROLE

As a Guideway Technician, you are responsible for maintaining the assets on the guideway of the line (fences, track, greens management, drainage control of the platform and tunnel, overhead catenary system, access control etc.), in line with specified Quality procedures.
As this is an industrial/field work environment, physical demands are in consequence (work outside in all weather conditions, work at heights, etc…). Flexibility to work on different shifts will be needed to meet with operational requirements.
While interacting daily with co-workers, external suppliers/contractors and management, all activities will be performed in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as prescribed by legislation and the ALSTOM Health & Safety policies.

THINGS YOU’LL ENJOY IN THIS ROLE AND WORKING AT ALSTOM

  • Challenges free from unexciting daily routines
  • Enjoy stability throughout your journey with us as the rail industry is here to stay
  • Grow and develop new skills through award-winning learning
  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries
  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).
You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
