Description The Niles Park District is seeking a passionate and skilled part-time guitar instructor to join our team and inspire the next generation of musicians! Plan and deliver engaging guitar lessons for children and teenagers. Teach fundamental guitar techniques, music theory, and basic music notation. Monitor and assess students’ progress and provide constructive feedback. Promote a love of music and inspire a lifelong appreciation for the guitar. Requirements Proficiency in playing the guitar. Prior teaching experience, especially with children and teenagers. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience and the ability to motivate and inspire young learners. Reliability and strong commitment to the role. This is a part-time position, 5-15 hours per week, after school/evenings. $30.00 per hour

Responsibilities

The instructor will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging guitar lessons focused on fundamental techniques, music theory, and basic music notation for children and teenagers. They must also monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to foster a love for music.
