We are sure you are amazing and look forward to meeting you when you move to our neck of the woods! The Anderson School is looking for a substitute guitar teacher. This job comes with the possibility of securing a weekly teaching schedule in the next couple of months. Our ideal candidate has a degree in music with an emphasis in guitar performance or pedagogy and at least two years of teaching experience. Commensurate performance and teaching experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. We will encourage current music majors for this role. We are looking for candidates who have a solid foundation in the instrument they teach. You must be comfortable teaching young beginners to adult on guitar, ukulele and bass. It is critical that our teachers instill a love for music in their students in our quest to build a generation of lifelong musicians. Ideally you live in the South Bay. All lessons are taught in person at our Los Gatos location. Punctuality and attendance are extremely important. Starting pay for a teacher with a music degree or equivalent experience is $40 per hour with a potential raise after a 90-day assessment period.
