LP Music Tuition is a thriving, independent music school, expanding due to popular demand. We provide high-quality, engaging music tuition for children and young people across Worcestershire, both in schools and at our private studio. We are looking for a creative, professional, and vibrant Guitar Tutor to join our growing team.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Grade 8 (or equivalent) on guitar.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience (private or school-based).
  • Proven experience preparing students for graded music examinations.
  • A music or music education degree (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of music theory and a variety of musical styles.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional, engaging approach.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
  • Own transport (if teaching in schools).
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: £23.00-£28.00 per hour

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We’re seeking an experienced guitar tutor to teach students from age 6 upwards, across acoustic, electric, and/or classical guitar. You will deliver structured, inspiring lessons tailored to a variety of learning styles and goals – from preparing students for graded exams (RSL, Trinity, ABRSM) to developing performance skills or simply learning for fun. We are looking for someone to teach at our Worcester-based studio and/or at local primary/secondary schools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and deliver engaging 1:1 and/or small group guitar lessons.
  • Teach students of varying ages and abilities, adapting your approach to suit each learner.
  • Prepare students for graded music exams, studio concerts and the student’s personal goals.
  • Track progress and communicate with parents where appropriate.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional learning environment.
