You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production activity of the Gummy manufacturing operation. The person will ensure a quality product is manufactured safely, efficiently, and on schedule while adhering to Company SOPs, GMP, and OSHA regulations and standards. The person will also ensure the facility and equipment are well maintained. Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to: Managing a workforce in a manner that promotes high standards of quality, performance, and employee morale. Managing a workforce in a manner that promotes high standards of quality, performance, and Overseeing the day-to-day productivity and performance of departmental employees for multiple shifts and multiple functions. Training, coaching, and developing supervisors, leads, and all employees within the Gummy department and ensuring that employee training programs are accomplished in a timely manner as assigned or needed. Developing and implementing programs geared toward continuous improvement (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma, etc.). Promoting cross-training to best utilize the workforce to accommodate demand. Setting and communicating goals that align with Company goals. Performing administrative duties such as completing production reports, employee timecards, and injury/illness reports, etc. Managing expenses and cost per unit to perform to budget. Measuring and reporting various key performance indicators as required by senior management. Ensuring employees follow all procedures as written in batch records and the batch records are completed properly and submitted to Quality in a timely manner. Promptly handling work-related issues as they arise in a manner that maintains/promotes harmony within and between departments. Working with Planning / Scheduling to help develop efficient plans to maximize capacity and meet due dates. Working with R&D team to assist with creating/writing manufacturing procedures, trouble shoot formulation issues. Working with maintenance to assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues. Working with Quality to create/execute equipment qualification protocols, and performing investigation of non-conformance or OOS. Ensuring yields are within acceptable limits and when they are not, perform an investigation to reconcile. Create/update SOPs related to the Gummy department. Follow established department SOP's, cGMP regulations, and batch record instructions. Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Perform other related job duties related to the job, as assigned by management. Qualifications Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate; and College Degree or applicable business or manufacturing training in an accredited college/university; plus Five (5) or more years of work experience in a manufacturing work environment; or any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job.
