Description Gurley Leep is a family-owned dealership group with 23 locations across five states and we are hiring a Corporate Accounting Manager with a minimum of 5 years experience. With over forty years in the automotive industry and over 1,300 team members, we is proud to be a leader in Mishawaka, South Bend, Elkhart, and the surrounding areas in Michiana. Job Responsibilities: Manage the general accounting for various corporate and real estate entities. Handle recording of treasury transactions. Assist in the management of state and local taxation matters, communicate with outside organizations and agencies, as required. Coordinate with external CPA firm in the preparation of the annual financial audit/review and tax return schedules. Consolidate and analyze quarterly GAAP financial statements for lenders and stakeholders. Review and supervise monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts including bank reconciliations. Direct external reporting, treasury and deb compliance functions; monitor spending activity; prepare monthly cash/treasury reports. Prepare monthly accruals, quarterly profit and loss statement and investment activity analysis. Prepare monthly working capital and cash flow reports for all operating entities. Oversee GAAP accruals and intercompany accounting for the operating entities. Supervise fixed asset accounting. Oversee intercompany transactions and cash flows with captive insurance and reinsurance companies. Interact with senior management and owners on various projects, as required. Coordinate with Family Office on accounting and tax matters, as required. A minimum of 5 years of relevant and progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles. Strong understanding and practical working knowledge of US GAAP. Strong leadership, team building, and project management skills. Excellent communications skills. Ability to quickly establish relationships within the organization to drive cross functional collaboration and influence resources outside one's own direct responsibility. Ability to focus on the overall objective for a given process or accounting area, while at the same time able to dive into transactional detail, if needed, to resolve questions or issues. Ability to overcome obstacles and achieve objectives, changing direction along the way to achieve business objectives. Motivated by and thrives in a fast-paced environment with frequent ad hoc requests and changing priorities. In-depth experience with Microsoft Office including Excel and Word. Experience with QuickBooks is desired.
