POSITION OVERVIEW

As a GWO Instructor, you will deliver high-quality GWO training modules including BST, BTT, and ART, ensuring compliance with all GWO standards and fostering a safe, engaging, and professional learning environment. You’ll play a critical role in preparing participants for the demands of working safely in the wind industry.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • GWO Instructor Qualification Training (IQT or IQTX), recorded in WINDA
  • Approved to deliver all modules in BST, BTT, and ART
  • Valid First Aid certification
  • Instructor training certification or formal teaching qualification
  • Experience in the wind industry or relevant technical/safety field
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols, equipment, and wind industry environments
  • WINDA ID with compliant instructor profile

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Additional certifications in:
  • Working at height or fall protection
  • Confined space entry and rescue
  • Rope access (IRATA or SPRAT Level 1 or higher)
  • PPE inspection and maintenance
  • Familiarity with mobile, remote, or modular training setups
  • Adult education and instructional design experience

  • Training or adult learning: 1 year (preferred)
  • Rope Access: 1 year (preferred)

Responsibilities
  • Deliver GWO training modules (BST, BTT, ART, and others as qualified) in both classroom and practical settings
  • Facilitate engaging, safe, and compliant instruction following GWO guidelines
  • Maintain participant safety during practical exercises; ensure proper use of PPE
  • Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and evaluation using GWO’s taxonomy framework
  • Upload participant records to WINDA and ensure training documentation is up to date
  • Participate in annual instructor competency assessments and internal audits
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of training materials, lesson plans, and assessments
  • Optionally deliver additional programs (e.g., IRATA/SPRAT rope access, fall protection, PPE care, confined space rescue)
