Monday to Friday | Shifts: 5:30am–1:36pm or 11:54am–8:00pm

Responsibilities

BGIS is seeking a Full-Time Lifeguard / Gym Attendant to join our team at Holsworthy Army Barracks . This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a structured, active environment while making a positive impact every day.What You’ll Be Doing
In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for the daily operation of the on-site gym and pool, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and support for defence personnel.

Key duties include:

  • Opening and closing the gym
  • Monitoring pool and gym safety and responding to incidents with First Aid and CPR
  • Checking IDs and managing member sign-ins
  • Supporting Physical Training Instructors with setup and pack-down
  • Maintaining cleanliness, equipment, and loan items
  • Managing bookings and customer enquiries
  • Reporting maintenance issues and participating in stocktakes

What You’ll Bring

  • Current First Aid and Royal Life Saving Society Pool Lifeguard certificate (required)
  • Strong swimming ability (must demonstrate ability to touch 6m pool floor within 6 months)
  • Great communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures
  • Professional and reliable work ethic
  • Willingness to undergo Baseline Security Clearance
  • Availability for weekday shifts with potential for weekend overtime
