Job Title: Gymnastics Coach / Ninja Coach Location: Capital Gymnastics - Round Rock 4600 Campus Village Drive, Round Rock, TX 78665 Job Type: Part-time Schedule: Variable hours, including evenings and weekends Class Hours: Monday - Thursday from 3:20 pm - 7:30 pm Friday from 3:20 pm - 6:30 pm Saturday from 8:50 am - 12:00 pm Additional hours are available on Friday evenings and Saturdays for birthday parties and special events. We require our coaches to be available to assist with some special events throughout the month on Friday evenings and Saturdays. Pay: $18-20/hr based on availability and experience About Us: At Capital Gymnastics - Cedar Park we are dedicated to fostering a love for movement, fitness, and fun in a safe and supportive gymnastics environment. Our programs focus on gymnastics and tumbling for all ages and skill levels. We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our coaching team! Job Summary: As a Gymnastics Coach, you will play a key role in teaching and inspiring young athletes in gymnastics skills. The schedule for this position is variable, allowing for flexibility while meeting the needs of our students. We prefer a minimum of 3 days availability and a willingness to assist in special events at the gym throughout each month. In addition, we offer the opportunity to develop coaching skills while being part of a supportive community. Your Role You will be coaching! Your job will revolve around helping kids develop work ethic, listening skills, confidence, and body control. You'll be: Warming students up with fun conditioning and fitness games like red light green light or floor is lava Spotting children as they learn how to do new skills Sharing in students’ excitement as they nail a trick for the first time Keeping parents up to date on their children's progress Learning new techniques, skills, spotting methods, and progressions all the time Having fun! You: Love working with kids Want a future in child development, athletic development, social work, or education Thrive on helping others succeed Ready to learn and receptive to feedback Happily, talk about other's accomplishments Your Experience This job requires no experience, we'll teach you everything you need to know. There are a couple things we'd love to see though: A background or a future working with kids (preferred) Exposure to gymnastics, cheer, tumbling, or dance (a plus) Customer service experience (a plus) Fine Print A few requirements to note: Ability to see and hear clearly 20 yards away. Ability to provide sustained attention to students during class time in the gym. Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb onto a spotting block to assist athletes. Ability to spot a gymnast, including the strength to lift and carry at minimum 50 pounds. Ability to move equipment including the strength to push or pull at minimum 50 pounds. Must have reliable transportation Must be able to maintain a consistent evening schedule. The kids need their coach to be in the gym!
