Icon Gymsports is a permanent gymnastics facility in Hornsby. Our purpose as a club is to provide an environment that nurtures each individual’s physical, social and emotional growth. Everything we do centres around this purpose for our students, their families and our staff.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for someone that is enthusiastic about working with children and passionate about getting them active. We are a close knit team that work hard to create a family environment where everyone feels welcome, we want people that will do the same. This role would be ideal for a teacher, nurse or early childhood educator who is looking for a change.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience within the gymnastics industry would be preferred but not essential.
  • Senior First Aid and CPR are required (we can provide an update if needed)
  • A valid paid Working With Childrens Check
  • For insurance purposes this role must be filled by someone over 18
  • Experience supervising multiple people at once is essential
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The main focus of this role is to provide a positive experience for both parents and students. We require someone in the afternoons from 3.15pm - 7.15pm and Saturday mornings. We are looking for someone that can do a minimum of 4 shifts per week, this can include Saturdays but they are not essential. All training for this role will be provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Team Communication: Share important updates and relevant information with coaching staff to ensure smooth coordination and class flow.
  • Customer Service: Greet parents and students warmly, providing a welcoming and professional front-line experience.
  • Skill Oversight: Observe students during classes to assess skill levels, track progress, and ensure appropriate placement.
  • Safety First: Administer basic first aid when necessary and maintain a watchful eye to ensure all students are safe throughout their time on the floor.
  • Staff Feedback: Offer constructive feedback to coaching staff to support quality instruction and student development.
  • End-of-Class Procedures: Communicate with parents, ensure all students are picked up safely, and assist in any necessary parent discussions or updates.
