Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Gyprock Trade Centre Store Manager is a Full-time position, based at our Cairns, QLD store reporting to the Area Manager. We are seeking someone with proven leadership experience, highly focused on safety, great communication and computer skills. Forklift licence is essential.
Work Hours: Monday to Friday, between 6:00am and 3:00pm (span of hours 5am-6pm).

IN THIS ROLE YOU ASSIST WITH THE BELOW:

  • Safety: Be a champion for safety compliance and ensuring the safety of the team, customers, and the general public. Conduct site safety walks to ensure the site operates in a safe manner.
  • Staff management: Hiring, training, and supervising employees to ensure that they provide excellent customer service and perform their duties effectively.
  • Sales and marketing: Overseeing sales activities, promoting the store and its products and supporting marketing campaigns to drive traffic and increase sales and opening new accounts. Proficiently use supporting analytical tools to make informed decisions.
  • Financial management: Experience in monitoring a store’s P&L financial performance and making decisions to improve profitability.
  • Compliance: Ensuring that the store complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
