KEY ROLES OF A GYPSUM CEILING TECHNICIAN:

• Installation of Gypsum Ceilings – Measure, cut, and install gypsum boards as per project drawings and specifications.
• Framing and Structure Preparation – Build metal or wooden framework to support gypsum boards.
• Finishing Work – Apply joint compounds, tapes, and sanding to ensure smooth and seamless ceiling finishes.
• Design Execution – Create and install false ceilings, bulkheads, and decorative gypsum designs.
• Repairs and Maintenance – Fix cracks, damages, or defects in existing gypsum ceilings.
• Site Coordination – Work with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to ensure accurate execution.
• Safety Compliance – Follow safety protocols and use tools/equipment properly to prevent accidents.

KEY ROLES OF A PAINTER:

• Surface Preparation – Clean, sand, and prime surfaces before applying paint.
• Paint Application – Apply paints, varnishes, and finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Color Mixing & Matching – Mix paints to achieve desired shades and ensure consistency.
• Finishing & Detailing – Deliver smooth, neat, and professional finishes without streaks or patches.
• Repair & Maintenance – Fill cracks, holes, and surface imperfections before painting.
• Protective Coatings – Apply paints that provide durability, moisture resistance, and long-term protection.
• Workplace Safety & Cleanliness – Ensure safe handling of materials and maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Client Coordination – Understand client requirements and ensure color/design preferences are achieved.
