Description Forest Highlands Golf Club, located in Flagstaff, Arizona seeks 13 full-time, temporary Recreational Aids- who will be responsible for the following: Customer Service – Responsible for bringing customer golf bags to golf cart staging area, practice range, loads and unloads golf bags on/off of carts. Spread hospitality and goodwill among all guests, and ensure all guests feel welcome. Including (but not limited to) keeping freshwater and cups available on the golf course and divot bottles and divot bins full. Assists in safeguarding that rules and regulations are being followed in order to prevent safety issues and inconveniences to other members. Handling minor problems and complaints while escalating to appropriate management any major problems/complaints. Informs customers of any unusual conditions on the course. Monitors supplies and completes a re-order form when needed. Cart Management – Maintain staging area, practice range, and practice area set-up, club set-up and storage. Cleans golf clubs, receive members at end of round. Returns carts to cart shelter, remove towels, pencils, score cards, tees, drink cans, etc., from carts and saves reusable items; wash cart, maintain provide preventative maintenance procedures and park cart in appropriate location. Golf Course Tasks – Responsible for following opening and closing of the cart and staging operations. Collecting and cleaning of all range balls used for practice range utilizing the range picker, and hand equipment according to policies and procedures. Maintains order and continuity of player traffic. Assist with Tournament preparation and set-up as it pertains to the Outside Service staff. Other: Attend bi-monthly meeting and able to complete other tasks as assigned within the Golf Operations Department as needed. Will report directly to the Director of Golf at Forest Highlands Golf Club. Three (3) months of recreation experience at a high-end hotel, resort, or private club. Applicant must complete pre-employment background check at employer's expense. Travel is not required. Daily transportation to and from worksite is provided. On-the-job training is provided. Wage: $19.50/hour, paid bi-weekly on Fridays. Schedule: 35 hours per week. Work schedule can vary and can include evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Work may be performed on day of the week from Monday through Sunday. Example shifts are 6am-2pm, 9am-5pm and 1pm-9pm. Shift hours may vary. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Optional housing is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for workers who are relocating to begin employment. Cost of housing, if accepted, is $225 - $450 per week, which includes utilities. If used, total cost of housing will be deducted from paycheck. A $350 with a $100 non-refundable security deposit is required, to be paid in full by deduction from first paycheck. For a shared room and bathroom, housing will cost $250 per week for new employees and $225 per week for returning employees. For a private room bathroom, housing will cost $450 a week for new employees and $400 a week for returning employees. Additional, optional benefits may be offered to worker, for worker's sole benefit, including but not limited to dental and vision. If voluntarily elected by worker, employee costs/contributions for benefits will be deducted from paycheck. All deductions from paycheck required by law will be made. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The employer will pay directly for and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable inbound transportation and subsistence costs within the first workweek. The employer will pay directly ~or and/or reimburse workers for all reasonable outbound transportation and subsistence costs during the last workweek. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by government ( excluding passport fees).
Responsibilities
Recreational Aides will provide customer service by assisting guests with their golf bags and ensuring a welcoming environment. They will also manage golf carts and maintain the golf course, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
