POSITION SUMMARY:
The Habitat Associate Liaison is responsible for the over external and internal community relations of Habitat with a focus daily operation donations, inventory, community and pick-ups for Habitat. Therefore, The Habitat Associate Liaison is a representative of the Habitat to donors, customers in the community as it relates to Habitat for Humanity’s mission.
QUALIFICATIONS, CERTIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
· Minimum High School Diploma or GED. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
· Excellent customer service skills, friendly and outgoing personality
· Experience driving a box truck
· Retail, service, and/or furniture moving experience helpful
· Dependable, motivated, and a good problem-solving skill
· Interest in working with a fast-paced nonprofit making a difference in our community
· Ability to lift to 60 pounds, stand, squat, bend, and climb in/out of truck on a regular basis
· A valid driver’s license (Class E or CDL) and the ability to be insured under Cape Area Habitat for Humanity’s auto insurance
Must pass background check including criminal records and sex offender registry prior to offer of employment.
Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with supervisor, co-workers, and other Cape Area Habitat for Humanity staff.
Must have commitment to the Habitat mission and uphold its values and ethics.
Compensations $13- $15 per hour
Tuesday -Saturday

· Pick-up and deliver furniture and appliance donations, using Habitat for Humanity vehicles. Load and unlaid truck after donation pick ups.
· Assist in developing and adhering to criteria for donated materials.
· Exhibit positive working attitude by demonstrating respect for fellow workers, donors and customers.
· Communicate with donors, volunteers and shoppers the mission of Habitat and our current projects.
· Move inventory items, as necessary.
· Help maintain organization and cleanliness in ReStore and the warehouse areas.
· Provide transportation for Homeownership and Repair project materials, as needed.
· Assist in keeping trucks well maintained and clean, minor repairs as needed.
· Conduct opening safety checklist and resolve any issues if found.
· Follow policies and procedures of Habitat.
· Must always represent Habitat in a professional manner.
· Attend all staff meetings as scheduled.
· Attend mandatory training as requested.
· Attend mandatory meetings as requested.
· Attend supervision as directed by Executive Director and/or his or her designee.
· Assist when needed with the MHDC grant i.e., in the shelter, community or other services
· Assist on build and other Habitat projects.
· Perform other duties and tasks as needed.
