THE ROLE: HACK TRUCK DRIVER

Sadleirs Logistics is requiring a Hack Truck Driver to ensure the safe and efficient movement of trailing equipment across the Kewdale logistics site as required by all departments.

KEY DUTIES

• Pre-start safety checks are completed on the Yard Truck before commencing any movements within the yard
• Previous experience preparing and restraining loads
• Couple trailers and dollies in preparation for departure
• Ensure the safe transport and loading of goods including the strapping down of loads whilst adhering to correct loading procedures and manual handling techniques
• move trailers from the outside staging areas to designated position, including the workshop and the various loading bays at Country, Terminal 1 and the Warehouse
• Report any damages of freight or equipment to your supervisor immediately
• Perform visual inspections of the condition of each trailer prior to moving and raise any concerns with your supervisor
• Constantly liaise with Loading Supervisor, the Workshop, and the Fleet Controllers to determine required trailer locations and sequencing of work
