Haematology Nursing is a rewarding speciality where patients are supported through the whole trajectory of their disease. This includes initial investigations including bone marrow sampling, systemic chemotherapy delivered in the haematology day unit, supportive care including blood transfusions and in some cases bone marrow transplantation.
The units are supported by dedicated MDT professionals including Nurses, Doctors, Specialist Nurses, Haematology Pharmacist, Dieticians and dedicated team of Haematology Research Nurses. We are able to provide and support all training required for the posts.
We are celebrating 20 years of bone marrow transplantation services at the Haematology Unit in Singleton Hospital. As a result of its ongoing success we are expanding our haematology nursing service at the Haematology Department Singleton South Wales Cancer Centre and are looking to recruit motivated experienced nurses to work on a Haematology Day Unit, bone marrow unit and ward. As we are expanding we will also be planning to develop new roles for nurses such as CNS’, clinical educator, and coordinator roles.
If you have a passion for holistic nursing care and are looking for a new area of nursing with future promotion prospects then this opportunity should not be missed.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
