Do you have the clinical skills, compassion, and commitment to make a real difference for people living with bleeding disorders?
We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and patient-focused Haemophilia Nurse Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team at Nottingham University Hospitals’ Haemophilia Comprehensive Care Centre.
About the role
You’ll play a central role in delivering specialist nursing care, education, and support to adults and children with haemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders. Working closely with consultants, physiotherapists, psychosocial and laboratory teams, you’ll provide expert clinical advice, coordinate care, and empower patients and families to self-manage their condition where appropriate.
About you
We’re looking for either an adult or paediatric NMC registered nurse, with significant post-registration experience. You’ll have excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a passion for providing high-quality, patient-centred care. Experience in bleeding disorders is desirable but not essential — we’ll provide comprehensive training and ongoing professional development.
Be the first point of contact for patients needing support or clinical advice.
With over 19,000 staff, we are one of the biggest employers in the city with a central role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our local population. We play a leading role in research, education and innovation.
Come and join our wonderful team at NUH. With endless personal development opportunities available, at NUH we will endeavour to turn your job into a career!
We particularly welcome applications from people who identify as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, or Disabled, as we are striving to be better represented at NUH.
Role specifics
The core hours of the haemophilia service are Monday to Friday 08:30-16:30 but flexibility is crucial as early starts and late finishes are at times essential to support planned patient surgeries or emergencies.
You will be a car owner and driver.
