About the Role Scissors & Scotch is expanding in Charlotte and seeking experienced Hair Stylists / Barbers who love men’s grooming, top-tier client service, and a team-first culture. If you enjoy delivering sharp fades, classic cuts, beard trims, and straight-razor work in an upscale, upbeat environment, this is your next shop. What You’ll Do Provide high-quality haircuts, styles, fades, shaves, and beard services tailored to each client. Conduct thorough consultations; recommend styles, grooming routines, and retail products. Deliver a smooth client experience from check-in to check-out; build a loyal book of business. Maintain excellent sanitation and station organization in line with state board standards. Stay current on trends and techniques through paid, ongoing education. Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture; support teammates during peak times. What You’ll Bring Active North Carolina Cosmetology or Barber License (required). 1+ year of professional shop/salon experience (3+ years preferred). Strong clipper and shear work; comfort with men’s grooming services (fades, beard shaping, shaves). Customer-obsessed mindset with excellent communication and consultation skills. Reliability, professionalism, and pride in a clean, safe work environment. Availability for a mix of evenings and weekends. Pay & Benefits Hourly + Commission + Tips. Guaranteed minimum $17/hour (before tips) Service commission and retail commission on all eligible sales. 100% of tips kept by you. On-target earnings: $60,000–$100,000+ annually depending on experience, booking volume, and tips.
