Rock salon is in a fortunate position to be running at full capacity and therefore we need a fantastic Men’s Stylist / Hairdresser to join the group and start to build their own clients and career with us.
We are currently a team of four based in West Hampstead borough of Camden located very close to three stations Jubilee, Overground (Mildmay Line) and Thameslink. Open from Monday to Saturday, closed on Sundays.
We take online bookings and its 30 minute appointments for a wash, cut and style service. We serve craft beer and locally roasted coffee to our clients in a spacious and cool salon space.
Please do not apply if skin fades and beard trims is all you are about – this is not our style. We receive a healthy mix of clients and hairstyles. We are more of a progressive Men’s Salon /Hairdressers rather than a Barbers. A great opportunity for a Stylist /Hairdresser with hairdressing background to specialise in contemporary Men’s hair. We like to section hair and use scissors whenever possible – but sharp detailed clipper work is essential! We give our all in each haircut and strive to go above and beyond in precision and service – recommending new styles or fine tuning regular cuts.
We need either a full time or part time Men’s Hairdresser / Stylist that has at least three years’ experience running a busy column working to a 30 minute appointment system in a calm, positive and welcoming manner. You must have a creative flair and knowledge of new men’s styles developing in London, UK. You need to be a great communicator and take pride in what you do whilst always maintaining a professional and clean environment around you.
We charge between £31 and £35 for a wash, cut & style appointment. £52 for a cut and beard trim. Remuneration will be discussed and will include a guaranteed day rate of £130 per day to start you off. This is an ideal position for a Stylist / Hairdresser who wants a fresh challenge and to build a long term rewarding career financially and creatively. The salon will always support your financial earnings as you develop your repeat clients with no ceiling on future earnings. Although there is a guarantee base rate, you will be on a percentage commission which will rise with performance and length of service to the salon. You will also receive healthy discounts on breakfast, lunch, coffee and booze from our own speciality coffee shop next door at Wired co.
