Description The Orthopaedic Institute is seeking a full-time Hand Therapist (Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist) to join our growing therapy team. This position will focus on evaluating and treating patients with upper extremity and hand conditions while working collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff to provide exceptional patient care. Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credentialing is preferred, but not required. We are committed to supporting professional growth and offer mentorship opportunities as well as financial assistance for therapists pursuing CHT certification. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians Administer medically prescribed therapy treatments and therapeutic exercises Educate patients and staff regarding treatment plans, therapy goals, and injury prevention Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR/EHR system Collaborate with providers and staff to ensure coordinated patient care Maintain a safe, clean, and professional treatment environment Requirements Qualifications: Current Florida Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist license required CHT credential preferred, but not required Minimum 2 years of related experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to high-quality patient care What We Offer: Mentorship and support for therapists pursuing CHT credentialing Financial assistance for CHT examination costs Competitive compensation and benefits package Collaborative orthopedic specialty environment Opportunities for professional development and growth Physical Requirements: This role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and assisting patients throughout the workday.
