JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a skilled technician who enjoys variety, independence, and hands-on problem-solving? Haven Building Group Inc. is hiring a full-time Service Handyman to join our growing team in Ottawa. This position is ideal for someone with broad experience in construction, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage diverse repair and maintenance tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience in handyman, renovation, or construction roles
• Demonstrated versatility across multiple trades
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Basic tools and PPE preferred (van and major equipment provided)

You will work independently and occasionally with others to complete a variety of service and repair tasks, including but not limited to:

• Drywall patching and repairs
• Interior and exterior painting
• Caulking and sealant application
• Siding repairs
• Leak investigation and repair
• Fence and gate repairs
• Foundation repairs (asset)
• Concrete and handrail repair
• Soffit and fascia work
• Structural wood/frame repairs (asset)
• Roof vent and shingle repairs
• Door repair and installation
• Eavestrough repairs
• Additional general building and maintenance tasks
