PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

BGIS is seeking a proactive and multi-skilled Handyperson to deliver general repairs and preventative maintenance at a major healthcare precinct in Southport. Reporting directly to the Team Leader, you will support the site’s facilities operations with a focus on safety, reliability, and compliance.
This is a fixed term, full-time onsite role that offers stability and the chance to support an essential community-facing service. PPE, iPad, and mobile phone are provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out general preventative and corrective maintenance (e.g., painting, tiling, basic plumbing, and carpentry)
• Respond to helpdesk calls and record tasks using QFM systems
• Monitor building systems and provide basic equipment inspections
• Coordinate with contractors and support the Facilities Manager as required
• Maintain safety standards and ensure all compliance obligations are met
