Description

JOIN OUR TEAM AT LANCEMORE MILAWA | CASUAL HANDY PERSON

Located in the heart of Northeast Victoria’s King Valley wine region, Lancemore Milawa is a 40-room boutique hotel known for warm hospitality, relaxed luxury, and exceptional guest experiences.
We’re on the lookout for a reliable and practical Handy Person to help keep our hotel in great shape. This casual role offers 2–3 days per week and is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, working independently, and taking pride in a job well done.About the Role

Working alongside the General Manager and wider hotel team, you’ll be responsible for general repairs, touch-ups, and odd jobs that help us maintain a high standard throughout the property. From tightening a hinge to patching a wall, you’ll be the go-to person who helps keep things running smoothly and looking their best.Key Responsibilities

  • Perform light maintenance and handy work (e.g. painting, minor repairs, basic plumbing)
  • Stay on top of small fixes before they become big issues—especially in guest-facing areas
  • Keep tools, supplies, and workspaces clean, tidy, and safe
  • Liaise with tradespeople for larger or specialised works
  • Respond promptly to small maintenance issues raised by staff or guests

About You

  • Strong practical skills and confidence using tools
  • A proactive and hands-on approach to work
  • Good attention to detail and a sense of pride in presentation
  • Friendly, clear communicator with a team-focused mindset
  • Hospitality or hotel experience is a bonus, but not essential
  • Awareness of OHS standards is desirable

Why Join Us?

At Lancemore, we combine the professionalism of a leading hotel group with the genuine care of a family-run business. You’ll enjoy:

  • A friendly, down-to-earth team culture
  • Opportunities to grow within our boutique hotel group
  • Staff discounts across our hotels, restaurants, and spa
  • A beautiful working environment in wine country

If you’re a practical, trustworthy person who gets satisfaction from keeping things looking great and working well, we’d love to hear from you.
