Description Position: Handyman Pay: $21 - $23 per hour Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM We are seeking a skilled, reliable Handyman to help us maintain a clean, safe, and functional facility for our clients and staff. This position is responsible for day-to-day maintenance, minor repairs, preventative upkeep, safety checks, and supporting the operations team with facility needs. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a behavioral health environment. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting. Conduct daily and weekly facility safety checks and promptly address any identified issues. Complete work orders efficiently and maintain clear documentation of tasks performed. Troubleshoot and repair household fixtures and equipment (appliances, locks, lighting, etc.). Support staff with room setups, furniture assembly, and moving items as needed. Ensure outdoor areas (walkways, patios, entryways) remain clean, safe, and well-maintained. Monitor and report facility needs that require outside vendors or specialized contractors. Respond promptly to urgent maintenance concerns to ensure the safety of clients and staff. Maintain tools, supplies, and inventory and request replacements as needed. Interact respectfully with clients and maintain professional boundaries at all times. Requirements Qualifications 2+ years of general maintenance or handyman experience preferred. Working knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical repairs, and general building upkeep. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks safely. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience working in healthcare, residential care, or behavioral health settings is a plus (not required). Must pass a background check and meet all health and safety requirements. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
