ABOUT US

Archers Arena is a high-traffic entertainment facility in Toronto, offering archery tag, Nerf battles, team-building events, and fitness experiences. With constant activity and foot traffic, maintenance is a daily priority. We’re looking for a skilled, reliable, and solutions-oriented Handyman to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and functioning space.

POSITION SUMMARY

This is a permanent, on-site role with no travel required. You’ll be responsible for keeping our facility in top shape by addressing wear and tear, performing proactive maintenance, and tackling repair jobs on the spot. You’ll also collaborate with management on improvements and upgrades.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid SIN and eligible to work in Canada
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in maintenance or handyman roles
  • Must be comfortable working on ladders and with power tools
  • Able to lift 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsive to urgent repairs
  • Basic proficiency in English (verbal & written)

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience with soldering or LED lighting installation
  • Familiarity with HVAC, security systems, or automation systems
  • Background in carpentry or light construction
  • Ability to read simple schematics or repair manuals

  • Diagnose and perform repairs in:
  • Framing, drywall patching, and installation
  • Basic electrical systems (lighting, outlets, circuit breakers, etc)
  • Basic plumbing (toilets, sinks, drainage, etc)
  • Smart home tech (camera systems, door locks, thermostats, etc)
  • General maintenance:
  • Painting touch-ups and small projects
  • Ceiling tile and lighting maintenance
  • Furniture assembly and repair
  • Mounting equipment (TVs, racks, whiteboards, etc.)
  • Seasonal repairs and weatherproofing
  • Safety & facility checks:
  • Inspect for hazards and perform preventative maintenance
  • Maintain inventory of tools and materials
  • Ensure tools and workspaces are clean and organized
  • Occasional cleaning and supporting setup for events or renovations
