Description The Dallas STC is seeking Part- Time skilled and reliable Handyman/Maintenance Technician to join our team in a flexible, self-scheduled role. The ideal candidate should possess a wide range of skills in maintenance, repairs, general cleanup, carpentry, painting, and drywall, along with fundamental knowledge of electrical, and plumbing systems—with the ability to handle a variety of tasks efficiently and with attention to detail. Dock Door and dock plate knowledge is a plus. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who ensures high-quality work and escalates complex issues to the Plant Manager. This position is at a postal warehouse. 5 year background check and postal clearance required Responsibilities: Proven experience in property maintenance or a construction field. Own a dependable vehicle and tools. Have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Must have a positive and professional attitude. Respond to work orders and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance. This is a 24/7 operation and we will work with your schedule. 20 hours -25 hours a week Compensation: $28.04/hour. ($22.49 + $5.55H&W). H&W paid on first 40 hours in work week EOE M/W/Vet/Disability Requirements Self starter/ Self motivated Must supply own hand tools Must be able to lift 70lbs Reliable transportation Be able to obtain postal clearance/pass background check
Responsibilities
The technician will respond to work orders, prioritizing tasks based on urgency, and perform a variety of maintenance, repair, cleanup, carpentry, painting, and drywall tasks within a postal warehouse environment. Complex issues must be escalated to the Plant Manager.
