JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical skills and experience in various maintenance tasks. This role is essential for ensuring that facilities are well-maintained, safe, and functional. The Handy Man will be responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and improvements across different areas, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
• Strong electrical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
• Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in various repair techniques.
• Ability to read and understand schematics for effective problem-solving.
• Leadership skills to manage small teams or projects when required.
• Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• A proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems.
• Fabricate and weld components as needed for repairs or modifications.
• Conduct facilities maintenance tasks including painting, drywall repair, and flooring installation.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
• Read and interpret schematics to assist in repairs or installations.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Lead small teams on specific projects or repairs when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance activities.
