OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man or Woman to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of maintenance and repair skills, demonstrating proficiency in various trades. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and efficiently while ensuring high-quality service to our clients. The Handy Man will be responsible for performing repairs, maintenance, and installations across different facilities, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in maintenance or maintenance person roles with a strong skill set in various trades.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics and technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated welding skills with relevant certifications preferred.
  • Electrical experience is essential; qualifications in electrical work are advantageous.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems effectively.
  • Excellent command of English for clear communication with clients and team members.
  • Previous supervising or leadership experience is desirable to manage projects effectively.

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Interpret schematics and technical drawings to execute repair tasks effectively.
  • Perform welding tasks as required for structural repairs or installations.
  • Utilise programmable logic controllers for troubleshooting and maintenance of automated systems.
  • Provide electrical services including wiring, lighting installation, and troubleshooting electrical issues.
  • Apply mechanical knowledge to diagnose and resolve mechanical failures.
  • Supervise junior staff or apprentices when necessary, providing guidance and support.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction with completed work.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
