JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set, enabling them to perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Handy Man will be responsible for ensuring that facilities are well-maintained and that all repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in the use of programmable logic controllers for automation tasks.
  • Strong understanding of schematics related to electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience in welding techniques for various materials.
  • Solid electrical experience with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Comprehensive mechanical knowledge to assist with repairs across multiple disciplines.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a commercial or residential setting is advantageous.
  • Fluent in English, with strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.
  • Supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment.
  • Read and interpret schematics for various systems to ensure proper installation and repair.
  • Perform welding tasks as needed for structural repairs or modifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each task.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to requests and addressing concerns professionally.
  • Supervise and lead small teams during larger projects or maintenance tasks, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople as necessary to complete complex projects.
