You will become involved in many areas of the hotel with the overall aim of maintaining the building and all areas within the hotel to the highest standards. This is a permanent part-time position, minimum guaranteed 24 hours per week. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for: Assist the maintendance supervisors in the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the hotel. All aspects of maintenance including some painting, basic carpentry, basic plumbing, tiling odd jobs and project work. Respond to a range of guest requests as a first priority Servicing of plant and general equipment as directed Ensuring all painted areas are maintained and in good order Ensure all maintenance for room moves & guest arrivals are actioned appropriately Complete tasks as part of the preventative maintenance program Ensure all equipment is maintained, used and stored correctly Effective use of energy and water resources Assisting team members in the completion of their duties Qualifications About you… Qualifications and Experience: Previous experience in a similar role Previous guest/customer service experience to engage with the guests You will have unlimited work rights in Australia Flexibility to work various shifts including week-ends, evenings and public holidays to meet our guests needs A trade qualification is desirable though not essential You will be self-motivated, highly organised and enjoy being in a hands-on environment Excellent communication & presentation You will be a team player and display a friendly and positive can-do attitude There are a few things that would make your application shine – having energy and a positive attitude, a genuine customer service focus and a dedication to always getting the small details right.
