We welcome a diverse range of guests every day with a mix of both corporate & leisure as well as hosting and taking part in an array of events, including the incredible (and colourful) Mardi Gras. Job Description Pullman Sydney Hyde Park is looking for a motivated and reliable Handyperson to join our Engineering team on a full time basis. In this role, you will help maintain the hotel's facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for our guests and our team members. What will you be doing? Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, painting, HVAC, and general upkeep of hotel facilities. Ensure all guest rooms, public areas, and service areas are in excellent working order. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff. Conduct regular inspections of hotel equipment, machinery, and systems to identify potential issues. Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and materials, and requests replacements as necessary. Assist with setup and breakdown for special events or room configurations. Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations. Communicate effectively with hotel staff to address urgent maintenance concerns. Qualifications To be successful in this you will ideally have previous experience working in hotels and painting skills are highly regarded. You will be a self-motivated person who takes a proactive approach to work, and you will be punctual and reliable. You will have experience in operating a variety of equipment, including small hand tools and will have good written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work a range of shifts will also be critical for the successful applicant.
