Job Description We are looking for a Full-Time Handyperson to join our Engineering team and help keep our 5-star hotel running smoothly behind the scenes. If you have a trade background in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air-conditioning or general maintenance, this could be the perfect opportunity. You’ll work mostly indoors with a small friendly team that takes pride in their work. Had enough of working out in the heat? Here’s your chance to put your hands-on trade skills to good use in a clean air-conditioned environment where you’ll play a crucial part in ensuring the safety, comfort and satisfaction of our guests through efficient maintenance of our building and facilities. Your key responsibilities will include: Complete routine and preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public spaces Troubleshoot and repair a variety of facility-related issues including air-conditioning, plumbing, fittings and general wear and tear Respond promptly to restore out-of-service rooms and support the smooth running of essential building services Assist in system checks and minor servicing of plant and equipment Work collaboratively with the engineering team and liaise with external specialists as needed Qualifications Proven experience in hands-on repair or maintenance roles with exposure to systems involving water, air-conditioning or general infrastructure Comfortable using tools and fault-finding techniques to address facility-related concerns Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to technical tasks Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset Physically fit, reliable and capable of working independently or within a team Flexibility to work across a rotating roster including mornings, afternoons, weekends and public holidays If you’re looking for a professional supportive work environment where your technical skills are valued and where you contribute meaningfully to the guest experience, we’d love to hear from you.
