We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed site and building maintenance Facilities Officer/ Handyperson who has good general DIY skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to use simple IT systems. You will be providing planned and reactive general maintenance across our sites in Carmarthenshire, Merthyr Tydfil, Hirwaun, Pontyclun and Llandeilo.
This Facilities Officer/Handyperson role will involve a vast variety of general work such as laying carpets, hanging and re-fixing items to walls, painting & decorating, office refurbishment, small plumbing tasks, replacing/fixing doors and any other related duties.
As the groups building maintenance Facilities Officer/Handyperson you will be happy to work in all weathers, indoors and outdoors and on occasion working at height.
Who are we looking for:
The ideal Handyperson will be someone with previous experience in a similar all-round general maintenance role and be comfortable working within active business premises. Carpentry and plumbing experience/qualifications would be advantageous.
You will need to have outstanding communication skills and a proactive attitude, alongside some experience within the Building Services, Facilities Management or Property Maintenance sector.
