Handyperson Earn 13.45 per hour (Salary £26,300 per annum, pro rata) Permanent, part time (15 hpw) Bath We can’t offer CoS for this role Home, a place where you belong We have a brilliant opportunity to join our fantastic Bath Team. We are the multi skilled hands-on practical support that helps our colleagues deliver services to our customers. We work with customers who have supported living needs, this could be support around skills such as finances or helping them to access the community. You will work across a mix of our properties and surrounding grounds. As our handy person, you’ll spend much of your time working across our three properties across Bath which are located centrally and outside the centre. What you'll do Perform minor or emergency repairs, decorating and cleaning in properties and communal areas. Handle tasks like hanging curtain poles, moving furniture, touching up paint, changing washers, unblocking sinks, mowing lawns and clearing grounds. Carry out regular fire safety checks. Work with colleagues, contractors and customers. Liaise with Customer Service Centre and contractors to report and follow up on repairs outside your remit. General maintenance know-how, a bit of carpentry, basic plumbing and confidence with a paintbrush or broom Comfortable working and communicating with people from all walks of life. The practical bits You’ll work Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm). As this is a part time role, there is some flexibility in working hours dependent on ongoing maintenance needs of the service. You'll be based at Bath and travel around the properties in this area. Occasionally you'll head outside the patch for all hands-on deck situations. You’ll need a Standard DBS check, we pay for it.
