We are seeking a control engineer to lead the design, development, and validation of control systems and algorithms for next-generation haptic actuators and experiences. Come join us! DESCRIPTION As a Haptics Control Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing cutting-edge control systems that bring Apple's haptic technology to life. You will work at the intersection of control theory, signal processing, and electro-mechanical systems to create the precise, responsive tactile feedback that millions of users experience every day on Apple devices. In this role, you will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of haptic control system development—from initial concept and modeling through prototype implementation, validation, and factory production support. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience Strong background in control engineering, dynamics, and signal processing Excellent written and verbal communication skills Team Oriented: must be able to thrive in collaborative cross-functional environments PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Hands-on experience in control system design, analysis, implementation, and validation Familiarity with modeling electro-mechanical system Proficiency with Matlab/Simulink and C/C++ Experience with electromagnetic or piezoelectric actuators is a plus Experience with high volume mass production is a plus Knowledge of micro controller or embedded hardware/software is a plus Knowledge of state-space techniques is a plus Knowledge of nonlinear control technique is a plus Experience with AI/ML-based control system design is a plus M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics or equivalent with a specialization in control engineering
