We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to join us at Hereford County Hospital as our Information & Helpdesk Manager within our Estates and Technical Services. Managing a small Helpdesk team of two, you will not only be the custodian of our information library for Technical Services and Estates but a subject matter expert able to review and produce technical documentation. Therefore, technical qualification is essential. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records and ensuring the smooth coordination of all functional activities within the Helpdesk service. You won’t just be overseeing tasks – you’ll be driving performance, great customer service, monitoring progress, and ensuring that all activities align with Sodexo’s contractual requirements. Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • To develop and then manage a comprehensive technical library, keeping records updated of information relating to all engineering services.
  • Prepare or update technical information as directed by the Asset Manager/Management as identified as required.
  • Lead and monitor Helpdesk staff in managing all enquiries in an efficient, polite, and timely manner.
  • Fully comply and ensure compliance within the team with all safe systems of work, risk assessments, operational procedures, and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Participate in departmental quality control systems by checking and recording standards, dealing with user complaints and reporting as necessary as required by the business.
  • Ensure compliance / governance processes are followed on the CAFM system by engineering teams.
  • Carry out spot checks on completed works to ensure correct procedures are carried out in line with central governance.
  • Support with PFI contractual activity.
