KEY SKILLS REQUIRED

Essential:

  • Must have 3 years experience as landscape team leader.
  • Strong project management skills – able to plan, monitor and review builds covering a variety of construction methods.
  • Great customer relationship building skills.
  • Deadline management.
  • People management skills – lead a field-based team.
  • Delegation skills.
  • Communication – effective verbal and written.
  • Numerate.
  • Work to our stringent health and safety standards.
  • A FULL CLEAN UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

  • You must have an eye for detail and take pride in your work.
  • Management of the onsite (hard and soft landscaping) team.
  • Ensuring builds are completed to budget and on schedule.
  • To conduct pre – site visits to all accepted jobs to gather information prior to start date.
  • To work from a detailed Project Tracker and provide instruction to onsite team, working with them to construct our amazing gardens.
  • With support from the Project Manager, ordering of all materials and equipment.
  • Liaising with customers during their garden work to check build progress and quality, ensuring any problems or issues are rectified.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Visit customer sites post survey (usually with the project manager to scope the site).
  • Meet the customer pre-build.
  • Organise and manage subcontractors.
  • Responsible for all Health and Safety onsite.
  • Have daily contact with project manager.
  • Hold regular briefings with the onsite team.
  • Manage and monitor performance, conduct, development and training of the onsite team.
  • Work closely with the company management team.
  • Any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager.
  • You must have an eye for detail and take pride in your work.
  • You must be polite and have confidence in liaising with clients, suppliers and designers.
  • You must be able to work from plans.
  • You will be required to oversee other team members.
  • You need sound knowledge and experience of machines, including 360 digger/dumpers (training can be given) and be a reliable team player!!
  • Must be able to work under you own initiative, with excellent time management.
  • Work to our stringent health and safety standards.
  • A FULL CLEAN UK driving licence is essential.
  • Must be highly competent in these areas 1) Hard Landscaping: Setting out sites, Paving, Walling, Excavations, Foundations, Water features, Timber work.
