Description

We are expanding our team, and an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hard Landscaping Foreman to join Agile Landscapes.
Agile Landscapes, based in Forest Row, East Sussex, is a successful and fast-growing garden landscaping company who are passionate about delivering projects to a high standard, on time and within budget for our clients across Sussex, Surrey & Kent.
The purpose of the Hard Landscaping Foreman role is to take the lead on our high-value projects from start to finish. A professional approach will be required to ensure the end results are to the highest standards.
We expect our foremen to take ownership of their projects from start to finish. They are responsible for their smooth delivery, including planning, procurement and on-site delivery while maintaining the highest standards for quality and customer satisfaction, which has got us where we are today.
As foreman, you’ll also take an active part in supporting the Project Manager in quoting for the job, ordering materials at a schedule that suits the site and enabling a smooth operation in all site works being undertaken with the support of your team. Liaising with the Project Manager on queries and talking through pressure points to achieve the very best finished product on time.

Role:

  • Plan your upcoming projects with your team using our planning and project management software. Full training provided.
  • Carry out and manage day-to-day construction works and garden installations to the highest standard.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of your project and team, including timeliness, efficiency and presentation, while ensuring the site is kept safe at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with the project manager to ensure the timely completion of the project, highlighting issues that arise.
  • Liaising with clients and contractors as required, keeping calm, polite and confident.
  • Ordering materials to the site in a methodical and efficient manner to cause minimal disruption to the project’s progress.
  • Work to the plans provided by our garden designers.
  • People management through the development of your team in learning new skills, particularly in stonework and timber work.
  • Ensure that the van is kept clean and tidy with a full set of tools.
  • Report any problems immediately.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed.
  • Attend staff meetings
