Description

We are looking for an experienced Hardware Asset Manager to join our team in Woodland Hills, California. This Contract-to-Ongoing position offers the opportunity to manage IT procurement tasks and hardware asset operations, ensuring optimal vendor negotiations and cost management. The role requires a strong background in hardware acquisitions and vendor relations, with the potential for long-term placement after one year.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the procurement of IT hardware assets, including negotiating with vendors to secure favorable pricing and terms.
  • Oversee the lifecycle of hardware assets, ensuring proper acquisition, deployment, and recovery processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify hardware requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
  • Conduct vendor meetings, including RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, to evaluate and select the best options for hardware purchases.
  • Optimize procurement costs while maintaining high-quality standards for enterprise-level end-user hardware.
  • Utilize tools such as ServiceNow and D365 to streamline asset management and procurement processes.
  • Provide guidance on hardware compatibility and setup for specific roles and workstations.
  • Manage asset recovery operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and efficient handling.
  • Support licensing efforts, including Microsoft products, to align with organizational needs and budgets.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT procurement and hardware asset management.
  • Proven ability to negotiate with vendors and secure competitive pricing.
  • Familiarity with RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs processes.
  • Strong cost optimization skills and ability to push back on vendors when necessary.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow, D365, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and soft skills for vendor and team interactions.
  • Experience with enterprise-level end-user hardware acquisitions.
  • Knowledge of licensing management, particularly with Microsoft products.
