Job Description We are looking for an engaged and skilled Hardware Design Engineer who wants to work with mechanical design, electrical components and testing. You will work with both low- and high-voltage systems as well as cable management and sheet metal development. In this role, you will combine hands-on technical work with planning and coordination, giving you a unique opportunity to influence quality and performance in our solutions. You will be part of a collaborative team alongside hardware designers, software engineers, and power electronics specialists. We are seeking someone with experience in testing and mechanical design who enjoys working cross-functionally within R&D. The role also requires strategic thinking and the ability to create clarity and momentum in a dynamic environment. Job Responsibilities Design and develop sheet metal components with integrated electronic systems together with our lead engineer Plan and execute tests according to project timelines Develop prototypes and support testing and validation activities Communicate effectively with suppliers and external partners to ensure technical quality Ensure compliance with standards and Scania’s PD process Collaborate with software and power electronics engineers to deliver integrated system solutions Qualifications You have several years of experience in product development and a broad technical perspective gained from working across different R&D domains. You are proactive, solution-oriented, and thrive in an environment where innovation and collaboration are key. We believe you: Hold a relevant university degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or similar Have a structured and proactive approach to planning and execution Bring hands-on experience with testing, prototyping, and validation Communicate clearly and build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders Enjoy contributing to strategic discussions and long-term product development Have experience working cross-functionally with purchasing, production, and sales & marketing Have worked in early-stage or entrepreneurial settings, preferably within charging infrastructure Additional Information Start: Immediately Location: Stockholm | 100% On-Site Languages: English (primary), Swedish (a plus) Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday
