Description
As a member of the electronics hardware team as a Hardware Design Engineer, you will be responsible for hands-on design and development, architecting, lab testing, and troubleshooting electronics circuits and systems. You will join a team dedicated to raising the standards for advance electronic and contribute to their continuous improvement. You will help build robust electronics impervious to the hostility of various applicative environments. Responsibilities: Design and development of digital and analog electronics for control of high electronics systems. Start to finish ownership of control boards and other electronics – from specification to design, prototype, and manufacturing. Collaborative work with mechanical, digital control, thermal design, and manufacturing test engineers. Product level electrical design including component selection, branch circuit design and insulation coordination. Requirements: 2+ years of demonstrated successful experience in electrical engineering within a product design and manufacturing environment (high power Li-Ion batteries is a plus) Experience in supervision of PCB layout for minimal stray inductance and capacitance, placement strategies for better manufacturability, power/signal plane definition and EMC optimization. Experience with Altium Designer for Schematic & PCB layout design Start to finish ownership of control boards and other electronics – from specification to design, prototype, and manufacturing. Experience with high current power semiconductor selection (IGBTs, MOSFET’s, and Diodes), gate drive and protection circuit design. Familiar with schematic capture and power converter circuit simulation tools. Experience in selection and use of DSPs, microcontrollers, and programmable logic devices and their peripheral circuitry (signal conditioning, board-level power supplies). Knowledge in environmental, reliability, and safety requirements for Automotive, Industrial & Residential applications. Collaborate with BMS HW/FW engineering team to successfully design, validate and deploy testing tools Product level electrical design including component selection, branch circuit design and insulation coordination. Bachelor/Masters in ECE/EEE or relevant field.
