Electrical Equipment Manufacturing
We are the German subsidiary of a medium-sized company that is 100 per cent employee-owned and supports the water management sector across Europe with process automation and flow measurement equipment. We enjoy a very high reputation in both areas and are regarded as technological leaders. At our Berlin site, we are in the start-up phase; we are building on a high level of expertise in Germany and aim to develop a new, technically outstanding generation of devices for a wide range of applications in ultrasonic flow measurement technology. We are looking for people who enjoy helping to shape this innovative process, who value an agile development environment and who seek a high degree of creative freedom – from hardware architecture right through to production support.
Your Responsibilities:
The Hardware Development team works in close collaboration with colleagues from the embedded software and signal processing departments, as well as with the mechanical development and component integration teams at the parent company. Based on a rough product framework outlining the desired product performance characteristics, you will work as part of a team to design an architecture and devise your own solutions. Development is carried out for potentially explosive atmospheres in accordance with ATEX, etc. You will test your circuits, develop the printed circuit board layout, support the certification process and provide manufacturing support. As an analogue hardware developer (m/f/d), you will develop a circuit concept for ultrasonic measurement in the frequency range from 20 kHz to 10 MHz, as well as analogue front-ends for temperature, pressure and other sensors. As an ultrasonic sensor developer (m/f/d), you will work within the same frequency range, create acoustic models of sensors and measuring instruments, and derive evaluation and compensation algorithms. As a digital hardware developer (m/f/d), you will design signal conditioning electronics and develop digital and analogue interfaces for communication and integration into higher-level systems.
Your profile:
Having completed a degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar), you will already have gained several years’ experience in one or more of the areas of responsibility described above. We are particularly interested in candidates with a background in the development of ultrasonic measurement technology within the specified frequency ranges (ultrasonic and analogue development), but experience with other industrial measurement, control or regulation technology components would also be of interest to us. Ideally, you will be familiar with the development of intrinsically safe circuits (analogue and digital hardware development). You are used to, or have a strong desire to, pursue your own solutions and value a high degree of creative freedom to drive your developments forward. You also appreciate an agile working environment, close collaboration with colleagues and direct contact with potential customers.
What we offer:
If you’d like to work in an interdisciplinary team, contribute to a technologically sophisticated, innovative product, engage with highly skilled management, develop your potential with plenty of creative freedom, and work within agile structures using state-of-the-art development tools, then we look forward to getting to know you. In addition, we offer you the opportunity to acquire shares in the company in the medium term, a range of working time arrangements, the option to work from home, and a fair salary.
