We're looking to hire a Hardware Engineer to join our Platforms team and assist with the design and development of novel high speed networking devices. What You'll Do: Lead definition of PCB, chassis, and other deployment form factors for our range of in-house ASICs and off-the-shelf FPGAs. System design, schematic capture and PCB layout of high-speed digital devices featuring 10/25GbE and PCIe Gen5. Manage relationships with external contract designers and manufacturers Develop thermal and power strategy for deployments within many worldwide data centers Work with ASIC design team to influence designs Specify and oversee characterization of technologically demanding solutions Produce documentation and characterization literature Interpret high level requirements to create exceptional solutions for the trading community Provide mentorship to less experienced members of the team Skills You’ll Need: A strong understanding of electronics and high speed digital systems Direct experience in the following: High Speed PCB design, preferably with Altium Designer. Signal Integrity and Power Integrity techniques Deployment of high-reliability/safety-critical systems Prototype bringup, test and characterization of high speed digital links PCBA production test programme management A passion for development, a strong work ethic and the drive to continually learn and improve Sound understanding of technology trade-offs, and a pragmatic approach to problem solving The ability to work both alone and as part of a small multi-disciplined team Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related subject At least 3 years of production design experience Bonus points: Experience in working with RF systems Software development skills – Python, C/C++ RTL development skills for FPGAs – SystemVerilog, Verilog, VHDL Post silicon ASIC validation, characterization and production test suite creation Knowledge of semiconductor package design and fabrication processes and workflows
