SAIC is seeking a Hardware Engineer for a deployable C4I system based in Brunswick, GA. (This position is a Temporary Hire) The qualified candidate will be a part of a small, agile, embedded team of support SMEs providing on-site support; to include system administration, network administration, communication, and infrastructure. Embedded personnel are considered subject matter experts (SME), mission essential and deployable on any Regional Combat Command (RCC) exercises or operations that require the use of C2 Family of Systems. The Team provides on-site technical support at the garrison and deployed locations where the C2 system operates. Embedded personnel must live in or relocate to the location of work site. This role cannot be supported remotely. The Hardware Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Support the Military Customer on the ground with maintenance as needed Assist HVAC mechanic by identifying abnormal conditions that lead to inadequate HVAC conditions Assist generator mechanic with generator operations and maintenance Document all IS related preventive maintenance activities for deployed systems Enter, update and track all IS trouble tickets in the assigned trouble ticket system Perform final operational checks to ensure ticket resolution Participates in special projects as required Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventative maintenance actions Inspect, operate or test machinery or equipment to diagnose malfunctions Required Education: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years’ experience; additional four (4) years’ experience can be considered in lieu of degree. Required Clearance: Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain; US Citizenship required. Required Skills: Working knowledge of DJC2 Core system
Responsibilities
