Responsibilities

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Lockheed Martin Australia is seeking an experienced Hardware Engineering Manager to lead, develop and grow our national Hardware Engineering capability. This critical leadership role spans multiple locations across Australia, ensuring our teams, processes and tools are set up to deliver on some of the nation’s most important Defence programs.
As a member of the Engineering & Technology leadership team, you will actively guide our people, strengthen engineering governance, and advocate for the needs of teams and individuals. Your success will be measured not only by program outcomes, but by the culture you create—one that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and develop Hardware Engineering capability across people, processes, tools and training.
  • Manage resources across programs, ensuring alignment to business priorities.
  • Partner with program leadership on execution, delivery and review of hardware engineering work packages.
  • Support bids and proposals, ensuring technical excellence and innovation.
  • Provide functional governance, driving consistency and best practice.
  • Mentor and inspire individuals to achieve their potential, fostering a strong team culture.
  • Deliver effective communication and feedback channels between staff and leadership.
  • Lead induction, probation, and performance management processes.
