Description
Provide Reliability Program Lab Coordination Support, including interfacing with Project Managers weekly, coordinating current active and triage efforts across Environmental Validation Labs Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, test, manufacturing) throughout the product lifecycle to ensure robust reliability and quality. Support the development and execution of environmental and reliability validation processes, procedures and plans, ensuring compliance with both Ford and industry standards. Participate in design reviews, providing expert guidance on reliability best practices and potential failure modes. Contribute to the continuous improvement of hardware reliability processes and methodologies. Analyze reliability data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to enhance product performance and durability. Document and communicate technical findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Lead and execute hardware reliability analysis, including Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA). Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Technology Engineering, Mechanical Technology Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Proven experience (3+ years) in electronic hardware reliability engineering, with a strong track record of success in applying DFMEA, PFMEA, and RCCA methodologies. Deep understanding of electronic component failure mechanisms and reliability prediction techniques. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Master's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering. Detailed understanding of Test System Design and Software Automation. 5+ Years experience with automotive electronic modules and systems. (e.g., AEC-Q, USCAR, ISO/IEC) (ISO/IEC-17025 A2LA) Experience with Liquid Chiller Systems and Temperature Chambers. 5+ Years experience with environmental testing and validation procedures for automotive. Electronic PCB Assembly Inspection, Destructive and Chemical Analysis Processes. (IPC) (LabView and TestStand) Failure Probability (Weibull) and Accelerated Life-Cycle testing. Statistical Data analysis (histogram / CPK) automation tools. (TDR /Cellular/GPS/WiFi/BT) Detailed understanding of various technologies such as CAN, Automotive Ethernet (BroadR), Audio (i2S), Displays (LVDS) and Cameras. Network Expert with TCP/IP connectivity protocol standards knowledge base. Experience with embedded chip programming and software download into electronic modules. Knowledge of Surface Mount, Selective Solder, Underfill, Conformal-Coat processes. Experience working with dynamic RF front-end designs and Qualcomm tool sets.
